Hello, I am trying to upgrade openDJ from verison 2.6 to version 3.0. The upgrade seems to be successful, but when I go to browse the directory I don’t see any entries. Any Ideas?

    Thanks,
    Louis

Your backend database might be offline. You can use discomfig and check the status of userRoot.

You need to rebuild all indexes. I believe this is mentioned by the upgrade tool.

    Thanks Ludo,
The indexs have all been rebuilt. However, there is just no data in there.

There is data in the 2.6 directory, but after the upgrade process which seems to run fine, the data no longer seems to be there.

I am using the following to upgrade
    /opt/opendj/upgrade \
    –no-prompt \
    –force

    >>>> Preparing to upgrade

OpenDJ 3.0.0 introduced changes to the JE backend configuration and database
format. The upgrade will update all JE backend configurations, but will only
migrate JE backend databases which are associated with *enabled* JE
backends. It is very strongly recommended that any existing data has been
backed up and that you have read the upgrade documentation before
proceeding. Do you want to proceed with the upgrade? (yes/no) yes

OpenDJ 3.0.0 changed the matching rule implementations. All indexes have to
be rebuilt. This could take a long time to proceed. Do you want to launch
this process automatically at the end of the upgrade? (yes/no) yes

The upgrade is ready to proceed. Do you wish to continue? (yes/no) yes

You may have hit issue OPENDJ-2697
A simple workaround is to make sure the BaseDNs are in lower case.
